ALL TEXTBOOKSmust be returned by tomorrow, the last day of school, June 18 th. A $5.00 fee will be assessed for each book that is not returned by 3:00 pm on June 19. Students with outstanding books or debts will not get their textbooks at registration.

Torrance High Summer School: If you signed up for Torrance High Summer School, please report to the front of the auditorium to pick up your schedule at 7:45 am on Tuesday, June 23 rd. This is your only notification. Classes will begin promptly at 8:00 am.

The 10th Annual THS Boys & Girls Golf Tournament Fundraiser is on Sat, 8/1/09 at Los Verdes GC-see www.torrancehigh.com & click on "Activities."

Summer School - the classes being offered at THS will be 2-1/2 hours long and last from 6/23 to 7/30. Applications are available in the principal's office and counseling office.

Summer School: If you know that you need summer school, please make an appointment to see your counselor as soon as possible or drop them a note. There are very few places offering programs this summer so if you don't sign up soon, you may have trouble getting in. Torrance High will offer English 1A + B and Algebra 1A + B in addition to classes for students who have not yet passes the CAHSEE.

Your paycheck on July 2 will be issued from the Payroll Dept from 11 am to 3pm. You will need valid picture ID to pick up. If you would like payroll to mail please supply a self-addressed stamped envelope by 6/26, indicating on the bottom left corner your job title and work location.

English 3 Teachers:Please xerox and distribute the AP English summer reading homework forms that I placed in your mailboxes. These go to all students enrolling in AP English next fall.

It's the end of another school year -- I have many outstanding certificates of absence. You don't want me to type those over or just guess why you were absent. You could be out on jury duty and I would guess illness! Please return immediately to the principal's office. Thanks for your help.

The PSAT will be given on Sat., Oct. 17th and we will need teachers to proctor for this test. Easy assignment. Hours are 7:30am-noon. If you are interested in proctoring there is a stipend. please call Mary Dillon at 7964.
