Did you miss summer PSAT Registration? PSAT registration - Thurs., 9/18 and Fri., 9/19 during lunch in Activities only . PSAT given on one date only: Sat., Oct. 18th @ 8 am. Students should be on campus by 7:45 am. Cost is $25. Exact change is appreciated. Checks should be made out to "Torrance High School".

Are you looking for a place to workout but can't afford those expensive gym membership fees? Then become an ATTIC member and have full access to gym equipment for only $10/year. The gym is open 4-8 pm Mon.-Fri. and 12:30-2:30 pm Sat.

PSAT: If you registered during summer registration your name should appear on the PSAT lists posted on the downstairs doors of the administration building. Please check to be sure you are on the list. If you do not see your name, see Mrs. Dillon ASAP! The test is a Preliminary SAT Reasoning test. Juniors planning to apply to a 4-year college directly out of high school are advised to take this test. Sophomores & freshmen can take it for practice.

PSAT Booklets: If you registered during summer registration, you will receive your PSAT Bulletin in your English class during the first week of school. If you registered but did not receive a booklet, please check with your English teacher or see Mrs. Dillon. Read this booklet!! There is a practice SAT test and suggestions on how to take the test.

Attention teachers: Textbook Inventory Survey forms are being placed in your mailboxes. These forms must be completed and returned to your department chair by noon tomorrow, Tues.,9/9/08! Information received will be used to correct textbook shortages.

There will be student assemblies by grade level on Wednesday in the auditorium. 8th & 9th grade-period 1, 10th grade period 2 (after bulletin and SSR), 11th grade period 3 and 12th period 4. Teachers are welcome to attend as well.

PSAT Booklets for students who registered for the PSAT during the summer will be sent out to English classes within the first week of school. Please ONLY distribute ASAP to the students whose names appear on the booklets. Not all students registered for this test! Questions - call x7964. I will be need proctors for this test on Sat., 10/18. Interested? Complete the flyer in your mailbox and return to M. Dillon in counseling. There is a gratuity for proctoring and you are done by noon.
