The Asian Pacific Youth Leadership Project is looking for Asian and Pacific Islander students to participate in their annual conference the first week in April in Sacramento. If you are interested there are application forms on their website at www.apylp.org The deadline is Nov. 11th. All expenses for the conference are covered by APYLP.

PSAT Test Takers: Room assignments for Saturday's PSAT test are posted on the doors to the library and on the doors to the administration building. Be sure to check the list this week to make sure your name is on it and so you know where to report! Don't forget to report to school on Sat., Oct. 18th no later than 7:45 am for the PSAT test. . You must have a photo I.D. to take this test. No I.D.--no test!!!! Bring #2 pencils if you would like or we will have them for you here and your calculator. Be sure to consult your test booklet for approved calculators. If you don't see your name on the list, see Mrs. Dillon ASAP!

In Comedy Sportz it's okay to barrel roll across the stage. Join Comedy Sportz and make things up with us. Meet in Little Theatre on Wed., 10/15 @ 3:00pm to join.

CSU applications: If you need to send your SAT or ACT test scores to the any of the CSU campuses you can do so by using just one code number and it will go to all of them--so you pay for one sending instead of multiples. The code for both ACT and SAT for the CSU system is 3594. UC does not have a code like this and you must send the scores to the individual campuses. Don't forget to send your scores to the college campuses. The scores must come directly from the testing service (SAT--Collegeboard.com and ACT --ACT.org).

If you do not, it shows up as "Attendance Not Taken" on your Teacher Summary Report. According to Arlene in Accounting this is a "negative" to the Auditors. Therefore it is very important that you post daily!

Please don't forget to wear your college t-shirts or sweatshirts on Wed. Please spend a couple of minutes talking to your classes about which school you chose, why you chose it, and a little about the school too. Remind the kids to attend the College Night too!

We have about 425 students signed up to for the PSAT test on Sat., 10/18. More than half the junior class and about half of the sophomore class. If you have these grade levels in your classes, please give the students daily reminders about the test. More than 300 students signed up during summer and may have forgotten that they are on the list. Thank you!
