On Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 10:15 AM Torrance High will hold an earthquake drill in coordination with the entire state of California.
Please review the following information with your period 3 students:
1. At 10:15 AM a single bell will ring. This will start a 45-second Duck, Cover and Hold Drill. All students, faculty and staff need to participate and take cover.
2. After the Duck, Cover and Hold Drill a series of 4 Long = Leave bells will ring and students, under teacher supervision, should exit classroom and building in single file and proceed to evacuation staging area.
3. Once in the staging area students should line up in a single line and teachers should take attendance. Any student who was in class but is now missing needs to be reported on the Green Sheet to the administrator in charge of that area.
4. After role is taken faculty and staff will monitor their students so they are to remained lines up and quiet.
5. A long bell will ring for the ALL Call and students will return to their second period classes.
6. When the drill is over students will be dismissed for snack.
